As we pass the midway point of the year, many people in the Northern hemisphere will begin shifting their attention to the approaching winter season. Covid-19 severely impacted the ski industry last year, and with the uncertainty of Brexit still hanging in the air like a fog, many are understandably worried about how it will all play out.

According to an article in The Guardian, the number of UK seasonal jobs this year has been cut by a third, compared to the previous year. Travel firms are seeking to reduce numbers in light of added costs due to changing laws. It will certainly tighten the budgets of many small operators which traditionally relied on cheap British labour to sustain their businesses. For now, most companies are continuing to play it by ear and commencing their recruitment process as normal. However for more advice, The Telegraph recently published an article on what to expect this coming winter.
