Despite the challenges of our newfound reality in the Covid-19 era, we cannot deny the fact that we live in a very interconnected world. We can’t stop wondering about what’s occurring in other parts of the globe where things just behave differently to what we’re used to. The laws of physics don’t change of course but everything, from the flora and fauna, the weather, to the behaviour of other humans, seems to tickle our innate sense of curiosity.

Many of us will spend a significant amount of time and money to leave our home country and immerse ourselves in a foreign land. Perhaps in the future we won’t even have to leave the comfort of our sofa, with the predicted advancements in virtual reality bringing us ever closer to the dystopian vision of Aldous Huxley’s ‘A Brave New World’.

As a passionate self-proclaimed adventurer, (semi-static nomad) I am wary of any push towards homogeneity. That said, I want to point out some amazing initiatives and ideas practised across the world, that I believe, should be implemented universally, for the benefit of all.
