The Ignorance of Youth

The ignorance of youth is but a thorn in my side

While I dither over my assertions and wrestle with my rationale,

unearned wisdom and unsolicited opinions rain down upon the masses

Riotous, obtrusive verses, as fickle as the emotions that birth them, are inked across the nexus,

and fed like a saline drip to the veins of a ravenous global consciousness

The follies of youth in an age of despair

The rage of an information age where sharing is certainly not caring

Truth and beauty are lost amongst the rabble who clamber for their precious moment in the sun

Electronic screens offer a tinted window to a mirrored image of the world

It may be your window, but it is not your world

Are you painting over novel ideas that could change humanity for the better?

Will you still believe your truth in a week, a month, a year?

Do you care?
